Folland Gnat The Gnat first flew on 18th July 1955, developed by Folland Aircraft as a light fighter. It entered service with the Royal Air Force in 1959 as a trainer but the type was exported to other countries as a fighter aircraft. The Gnat was used by the RAF Aerobatic Team, finally retiring in 1979. Long-sleeve T-shirts are made from 100% ringspun semi-combed cotton.
