Hawker Siddeley Nimrod
To mark 40 years since the end of hostilities in the Falkland Islands this collection depicts 16 aircraft that took part in Operation Corporate. Many types were involved, from logistical tasks to ground attack. The Nimrod undertook 111 sorties during the campaign that involved maritime patrols, air refuelling coordination and SAR links.

Hawker Siddeley Nimrod
The Hawker Siddeley Nimrod entered service with Royal Air Force in 1969 and was retired in 2011. This maritime patrol aircraft was a development of the de Havilland Comet. It replaced the Avro Shackleton in the anti-submarine role and anti-surface warfare. Later in its service life it took on the Airborne Early Warning role, eventually replaced by the Sentry.
