Roundel - Hoodie £44.00
Royal Air Force Roundels This graphic displays roundels used by RN Fleet Air Arm, Army Air Corps and the Royal Air Force through the ages. Initially the Union Flag was painted on early combat aircraft, but roundels were used to avoid confusion with the German Iron Cross. The Royal Flying Corps started using the blue outer and red centre roundel in December 1914. The roundel evolved over the years and varied according to the role of the aircraft it was painted on. Hoodies are made from 80% ringspun cotton/20% polyester at 280gsm. Drop shoulder style with double fabric hood with self-colour drawcord. Has a front pouch pocket, ribbed cuffs and hem. Check the sizing page as this item can be slightly different than other brands.
