Royal Air Force Roundels This graphic tshirt displays roundels used by RN Fleet Air Arm, Army Air Corps and the Royal Air Force through the ages. Initially the Union Flag was painted on early combat aircraft, but roundels were used to avoid confusion with the German Iron Cross. The Royal Flying Corps started using the blue outer and red centre roundel in December 1914. The roundel evolved over the years and varied according to the role of the aircraft it was painted on.

Saab 105 The Saab 105 entered service with the Swedish Air Force in 1967 as the Sk 60 and later by the Austrian Air Force as a Jet Trainer.

Saab J35 Draken The Saab J35 Draken first flew in 1955 and entered service with the Swedish Air Force in 1960 in the fighter or Jakt (pursuit) role. The innovative double delta wing gives the Draken its unique shape. The Viggen eventually replaced the JA35 in the 1980s.

Saab JAS 39 Gripen The Saab JAS 39 Gripen entered service in 1996 and remains the Swedish Air Force's frontline fighter. Capable of Mach 2, the Gripen is a swing-role fighter aircraft that can switch tasks quickly depending on new situations and threats. The JAS 39 has also been exported to the South African, Czech and Hungarian Air Forces.

Saab JA37 Viggen The Saab JA37 Viggen first entered service in c1979 and was solely operated by the Swedish Air Force, retiring in 2005. This type was the first canard design produced in quantity and the most advanced fighter in Europe until the introduction of the Panavia Tornado. Our Viggen design is in full digital colour, shown in the M90 Splinter camouflage livery, on a black shirt.

Hawker Sea Fury The last piston engined fighter, and the fastest, to serve with the Royal Navy. The Sea Fury entered service in 1947 and was used during the Korean war and during the attempted invasion of Cuba in 1961. The Sea Fury was powered by the Bristol Centaurus aero engine enabling it to reach speeds of up to 460 mph.

British Aerospace Sea Harrier The first squadron to operate the Sea Harrier was 800 NAS introduced on HMS Invincible, but was moved to HMS Hermes. The Sea Harrier played a distinctive role in the Falklands War of early 1982. Successes were 20 Argentine aircraft shot down with two losses from ground fire and four to accidents. Success can be attributed to the Sea Harrier using the latest AIM-9L Sidewinder missiles and the Blue Fox radar. The Sea Harrier was withdrawn from service in 2006 with the planned replacement being the F35 Lightning II some years later.

Sea Harrier FRS.1 To mark 40 years since the end of hostilities in the Falkland Islands this collection depicts 16 aircraft that took part in Operation Corporate. Many types were involved, from logistical tasks to ground attack. During the conflict the Sea Harrier flew 1435 sorties from HMS Hermes and Invincible.

Hawker Sea Hawk The Sea Hawk first flew in 1951 and entered service with the Fleet Air Arm with 806 Squadron at Brawdy before operating from HMS Eagle. The Sea Hawk saw combat service during the Suez Crisis of 1956. Six Sea Hawk squadrons took part, flying from HMS Eagle, Albion and Bulwark, and was tasked in the ground attack role. The Sea Hawk last saw service in 1960, being replaced by the Supermarine Scimitar and de Havilland Sea Vixen.

Westland WS61 Sea King This helicopter was built by Westland under licence from American Sikorsky. The Sea King entered service in 1969 and has worked hard both for the Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy in many roles including anti-submarine, troop transport and Search and Rescue.  

de Havilland DH. 110 Sea Vixen The Sea Vixen was first developed in the 1940s, entering service with the Fleet Air Arm in 1959 in the fleet air defence role. The Sea Vixen was the first two-seat British aircraft to achieve supersonic speed in a dive. The type was used in anger over Tanganyika, Yemen and the Aden Emergency. In 1972 the Phantom replaced the Sea Vixen.

Supermarine Seafire MK XVII SX336 was built by Westland of Yeovil in 1946 and is one of the only remaining types flying in the UK today. The back of the shirt features 8 profiles from this collection of Spitfire t-shirts.

The GHQ was activated December 18 1940 at McChord Field then redesignated at Second Air Force in 1941. This design has been given a deliberate aged and 'weathered' appearance.

Avro Shackleton AEW II The MR 2s replaced the Fairey Gannet in 1972 and was then re-designated as the AEW II with the installation of the AN/APS-20 radar. The Shackleton was operated by No. 8 Squadron, based at RAF Lossiemouth. The 12 AEWs were given names from the Magic Roundabout and The Herbs TV series. The Nimrod AEW3 was to replace the Shackleton in 1991, but when the project was cancelled the Boeing E-3D Sentry was ordered.

Armstrong Whitworth Siskin The Armstrong Whitworth Siskin entered service with the Royal Air Force in 1924 as a single seat fighter bi-plane. No.41 Squadron RAF operated the Siskin from RAF Northolt. The Royal Canadian Air Force also ordered the Siskin. Eventually the Bristol Bulldog replaced the Siskin.
