Republic F105 Thunderchief
The Thunderchief is part of the Century Series of jets designated the F105. It was introduced to the USAF in May 1958 as a fighter-bomber with a massive payload so Thunderchief was tasked with most of the strike missions during the Vietnam War, but suffered considerable losses. It was capable of Mach 2 at high altitude despite being the largest single seat aircraft produced in the U.S. The Thunderchief was eventually replaced by the F4 Phantom and F111 Aardvark.
