Saab JAS 39 Gripen The Saab JAS 39 Gripen entered service in 1996 and remains the Swedish Air Force's frontline fighter. Capable of Mach 2, the Gripen is a swing-role fighter aircraft that can switch tasks quickly depending on new situations and threats. The JAS 39 has also been exported to the South African, Czech and Hungarian Air Forces.

'Fear the Bones' This Tshirt celebrates the famous US Navy Strike Fighter Squadron, the VFA 103, otherwise known as the 'Jolly Rogers'. VF103 was formed in 1953, equipped with the FG1D Corsair, then F4B Phantoms, F-14 Tomcats in the early 80s and now operates the FA-18F Super Hornet. The design is Flyingraphics's interpretation of the well known skull and crossbones insignia and the motif 'Fear the Bones'.

Fairey Aviation Company Limited Charles Richard Fairey and Ernest Oscar Tips formed Fairey Aviation in 1915 after leaving Short Brothers. In 1960 Fairey merged with Westland Aircraft. Many aircraft were manufactured including the Flycatcher, Swordfish, Gannet and Rotodyne. This design has a deliberate weathered and aged look.

de Havilland Vampire The Vampire first flew on 20th September 1943. The Vampire entered service just months after the end of WWII, operated by the Royal Air Force as an interceptor. The type saw service in the Suez, Malaysia and Rhodesian Bush war. This design is available in four colours with a design included on the back of the shirt.

Whirlwind Fighter - Sweat Shirt £39.00

Westland Whirlwind The Whirlwind entered service with the Royal Air Force as a heavy fighter in 1940. It was the most heavily armed and fastest fighters at the time and was used for ground attack missions over France, being particularly good at destroying locomotives. Due to engine and manufacturing problems the aircraft was replaced by the Hawker Typhoon in 1943.

Saab JA37 Viggen The Saab JA37 Viggen first entered service in c1979 and was solely operated by the Swedish Air Force, retiring in 2005. This type was the first canard design produced in quantity and the most advanced fighter in Europe until the introduction of the Panavia Tornado. Our Viggen design is in full digital colour, shown in the M90 Splinter camouflage livery, on a black shirt.

Valiant - Sweat Shirt £39.00

Vickers Valiant XD875 The Valiant started service in 1955 at RAF Gaydon. It was the first RAF aircraft to drop a nuclear bomb during a test at Maralinga, Australia. It became one of the the UK's ultimate deterrent - VForce. XD875 was the last airframe to come off the production line.

Folland Gnat The Gnat first flew on 18th July 1955, developed by Folland Aircraft as a light fighter. It entered service with the Royal Air Force in 1959 as a trainer but the type was exported to other countries as a fighter aircraft. The Gnat was used by the RAF Aerobatic Team, finally retiring in 1979. This design is available in four colours with design included on the back of the shirt.

Saab J35 Draken The Saab J35 Draken first flew in 1955 and entered service with the Swedish Air Force in 1960 in the fighter or Jakt (pursuit) role. The innovative double delta wing gives the Draken its unique shape. The Viggen eventually replaced the JA35 in the 1980s.

Convair F-106 Delta Dart The Delta Dart is part of the Century Series of jets designated the F-106. It was introduced to the USAF in June 1959 as the ultimate interceptor. Early in its service the aircraft broke a world speed record of 1525 mph, piloted by Major Joseph W. Rogers. Its main role was as an air superiority fighter, seeing service in Alaska, Iceland, Germany and South Korea. The Delta Dart was more commonly known as the 'Six'.

Thunderchief - Sweat Shirt £43.00

Republic F-105 Thunderchief The Thunderchief is part of the Century Series of jets designated the F-105. It was introduced to the USAF in May 1958 as a fighter-bomber with a massive payload so Thunderchief was tasked with most of the strike missions during the Vietnam War, but suffered considerable losses. It was capable of Mach 2 at high altitude despite being the largest single seat aircraft produced in the U.S. The Thunderchief was eventually replaced by the F-4 Phantom and F-111 Aardvark.

Lockheed F-104 Starfighter The Starfighter is part of the Century Series of jets designated the F-104. It was introduced to the USAF as a supersonic interceptor in February 1958 and saw service in Vietnam, but was more widely used by NATO, including the air forces of Germany, Italy, Turkey, Canada, Belgium, Japan and the Netherlands. The jet remained in service until 2004 with the Italian Air Force and some are still flown by private companies today.

Convair F-102 Delta Dagger The Delta Dagger interceptor is part of the Century Series of jets designated the F-102. It was introduced to the USAF in April 1953 and was the USAF's first operational supersonic jet. The type was used as bomber escort during the Vietnam war, but was transferred across to the Air National Guard as the Voodoo and Phantom came into service.

North American F-100 Super Sabre The Super Sabre supersonic jet is part of the Century Series of jets designated the F-100. It was introduced to the USAF in September 1954 in the fighter/bomber role with 479th Fighter Wing, George AFB. The type saw combat service in Vietnam and remained in service with United States Air National Guard until 1979.

English Electric Canberra This record breaking jet-powered medium bomber entered RAF service in 1952 and served a remarkable 55 years, performing many roles as a nuclear strike aircraft, photographic and electronic reconnaissance. The United States operated its own equivalent as the Martin B57.

Louis Blériot, the first man to fly across the English Channel Louis Blériot was a French-born inventor and engineer who had invented and manufactured headlamps for motor cars. Profits from his business were invested in building aeroplanes and Blériot was the first to develop the stick and rudder system of controlling an aircraft. In 1909 he entered his monoplane into the Daily Mail Prize of flying across the English Channel. At sunrise of July 25th he took off from Les Baraques and made it to Dover in just over 23 minutes, making aviation history. This design has been given a deliberate aged and 'weathered' appearance.

Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress This heavy bomber entered service with the United States Army Air Force in 1938 . The USAAF used the B-17 for daylight bombing over Germany and also in the Pacific against Japanese targets. There are still a small number of these legendary aircraft flying today.
