Robin Olds is the epitomy of the fighter pilot, born into a military family with an education at West Point. He flew in combat in the P51 Mustang and P38 during WW2. He is best known for commanding a wing of F4 Phantoms in Vietnam, earning a reputation as a 'MIG Killer' with his skills as an air-fighter and combat leader. A hero for todays fighter pilots.

The Gloster Javelin entered service with the Royal Air Force in 1956 as an all-weather fighter and interceptor with 46 Squadron at RAF Odiham. It was a distinctive twin-engined, T-tailed, delta-wing jet. In a night fighter role it replaced the ageing Meteor, however its role as an interceptor was made redundant with the introduction of the English Electric Lightning.
