Vickers Armstrongs VC10

The VC10 first flew at Brooklands in 1962 and was designed as a long range airliner. It is a record breaking jet, setting the fastest crossing of the Atlantic by a sub-sonic aircraft. The RAF initially used the VC10 in the strategic airlift role and later as tankers. Sadly the VC10 retired in 2013.
